How Demolition Contractors are Different from a Local Handyman?

Before the holidays, we moved into a new house and discovered that some walls were cracked and leaks had been causing a mildewy smell in our basement. We called in a local handyman to fix the problem, and he said he'd be able to get to it in about two weeks.

A couple of days before our Christmas Eve parties, we decided to hire a different demolition contractor in Sydney who specialises in demolition (because the handyman we chose couldn't come out at all), and he came out within two hours of us calling him-and as soon as he walked into the basement, he knew exactly what was wrong! He was able to tell us that we had a few holes in the walls from old pipes and other things, but that the floor below them wasn't affected by any leaking. The demolisher in Sydney just needed to remove all of the old pipes so that he could put some filler insulation between them and then pour some new pipes to cover them. The end result looked amazing-no more nasty smell or leaks!

So how can you determine if the demolition contractors in Sydney might be able to do the work? One way is to ask around. If you know other people who have used this person in the past, ask them how they were able to come up with what they were asking for and how quickly they were able to complete the project. You'll want to make sure that you get referrals from people who have actually used the demolishers in Sydney before because independent contractors are not regulated by local building codes and are often not subject to any sort of oversight or regulation.
